Everything begins with a simple conversation

A First Conversation is a chance to slow down and be heard.

It is not an intake session.
It is not therapy.
It is not a commitment to ongoing spiritual direction.

It is simply a shared space to listen for where God may already be present in your life—and to discern, together, whether spiritual direction might be a helpful next step.

Many people arrive unsure how to begin. That’s expected.
You don’t need clarity. You don’t need language.

You only need honesty.

What we do together:

After the initial checking in with each other, you will be offered some space to center yourself to become fully aware of yourself and acknowledge God’s presence.

You are invited to speak from your lived experience—what has been weighing on you, giving you life, or stirring questions—and to notice where God may be present within it.

At times, I may offer a brief reflection, question, or image to help bring gentle attention to what may be emerging beneath the surface.

Together, we listen for patterns, movements, and invitations, trusting that clarity often arises through attentive presence rather than effort.

We pause to notice what has been stirred—thoughts, feelings, or insights—and how they may be speaking to your life with God.

If helpful, we name possible next steps or questions to carry forward, always leaving room for freedom, prayer, and continued discernment.

Have additional questions about spiritual direction?

I’m here to help. Let’s engage in an email conversation.

This first conversation is for you if…

Faith once felt clear and now feels thin, distant, or fragile.

What once held you steady no longer seems to carry the weight of real life as it is now.

You are weary of carrying questions alone.

Not because the questions are wrong, but because they were never meant to be held in isolation..

You want space to listen without being managed, corrected, or rushed.

A space where nothing needs to be fixed and where your pace is respected.

You believe in God, but something you were given is no longer sustaining you.

The faith you received was real and sincere—and it may not be sufficient for the season you are in now.

You sense that doing more is not the answer—but you’re unsure what is.

You have tried effort, discipline, and faithfulness, and something in you knows the invitation is different this time.

You do not need to be in crisis.

You do not need to have the “right” words.

What to expect:

Conversations are by phone or online

Sessions are unhurried and spacious

Everything shared is held in confidence

You are welcome to bring questions, silence, or uncertainty.

If you choose to continue after the first conversation, we will discern together what rhythm and structure might be life-giving.

A Gentle Next Step

If you sense a quiet invitation to begin, you are welcome to schedule a first conversation.

There is no pressure to know where this leads.

The conversation itself is a beginning.
